This fellow is completely human. His jaw is square and rugged, his eyes blue, his brown-and-grey hair wild. he wears a loose khaki shirt with the sleeves torn off, with dark green pants and brown boots. Physically, he's fairly well built, having trained extesively as a warrior. He carries a canvas satchel, full of pads, paper, pencils and sketches.
History in brief:
His early life was unremarkable, up until he decided to become a mercenary at the age of twenty. He had no family, he'd lost his farm, he had nowhere to turn. So he drifted from job to job, from army to army. Sometimes he was paid well, sometimes he wasn't. Over time, he becae more experienced and proficient with his weapons. At the age of 28, he was fighting in the mundane army of a great sorceress, battling the army of her rival, a dark wizard. He was chosen, at random, for a special mission, to retrieve a powerful artifact that the sorceress believed would aid her victory. She laid a magical geas on him, that he would not be harmed by mortal weapon or by time until he placed the artifact in her hand. After all, she didn't want the mission stopped because he'd been stabbed by a sneak-thief, or kiled in a bar-room brawl. She also gave him an amulet to provide a little protection against magic. But when he returned, with the artifact, he found her dead, reducedto ashes by the wizard. The wizard found him, and shattered the artifact so no-on else would think of using it against him. The wizard couldn't use the artifact himself, as it would have rejected him violently. So he destroyed it. That left Kinn'cayd at a loss, as he couldn't be killed in battle. Eventually, the thrill and peril of a war began to bore him, and he retired. He took up art, and over thirty years became quite skilled. Now, he only fights if he has no other option.
