I suppose I should start with my very first character. For some reason, the idea of an intelligent ogre appealed to me.
He's huge, of course. About 8 feet tall, and built like a mountain. He wears a chain mail shirt, and carries a large axe, broadsword and shield. Several large knives are hanging from his belt. All his equipment is specially made for his size and strength. his head is shaved, his tusks clean, and a scar runs down his cheek past his left eye.
History in brief:
He was found, by two honest humans, as a very young baby. They adopted him and raised him, not really knowing he was an ogre. Because he was raised well, much of his naturally violent nature was subdued. But as he grew, he got bigger and stronger than other children, and would often hurt them without meaning to. Finally, after he broke one boy's arm, his foster parents decided to have him learn discipline. So they apprenticed him to Valek, who trained soldiers for the king. There, he learned control and fighting. Eventually, his parets decided maybe it was time he moved on, since a lot of the townsfolk were edgy, having an ogre in their midst. So he packed his bags and left, somewhat reluctantly, his only companion being Tredo, his longtime halfling friend. He never found anywhere that truly accepted him, but along the way, he had his weapons and armor made in gratitude from a dwarf he rescued. At the moment, he is guarding the home of Vendetta of the Gods, a good friend he met at The Dragon's Inn.
